Dockspace

There are only private docks on North Cove. NCYC dock space is time-limited to just 30 minutes of active loading at all times. There are no overnighting privileges, even for members.

Transient Moorings

Any mooring with a yellow streamer can be picked up by transients for 72 hours (or the mooring owner returns) for free. The Town of Old Saybrook operates 3 town moorings for transients tabled “GUEST 72 hrs” at the western edge of the cove, nearest the Town Dock. These are available on a first come, first served basis. They cannot be reserved.

How to get a Mooring

Moorings in North Cove are regulated by the Town of Old Saybrook’s Harbor Commision. You can find their site here: https://www.oldsaybrookct.gov/harbor-management-commission

Can I reserve a mooring?

No. North Cove is a federal safe harbor - any mooring with a yellow streamer is free for 72 hours or until its owner returns.
